We produce wines that express the sense of the place, with a vineyard driven approach and respect for Terroir. The high elevation of the vineyards provides a perfect balance to the slow ripening grapes of tempranillo. Low temperatures while maturation takes place allows for a slower process, providing for much thicker skins, more resistant to illness. The oldest Tempranillo vines are 80 to 100 years. The characteristic calcareous-clay soils of the Rioja Alavesa provide for balanced structure, poor organic content, and a restrained vegetative potential.
